LBRY & LBC

LBRY is a decentralized, open-source protocol for publishing, sharing, and monetizing digital content. It combines a blockchain for naming and payments with a peer-to-peer network (similar to BitTorrent) for content distribution.

Content lives on the LBRY network as claims. Anyone can publish without gatekeepers. The protocol continues to be maintained by the community after the original company.

LBC (LBRY Credits) is the native cryptocurrency of the LBRY blockchain. It is used to bid on claim names, tip creators, and support publishing. Holding LBC gives you economic participation in the network.
